What it is, how it works
The Dashamsa is one of sixteen divisional charts in classical Vedic astrology, derived by sub-dividing each rashi into ten parts. It reads career, vocation, and public role with much higher precision than the natal chart's 10th house alone. Strong planets in the D-10's 1st house indicate the natural style of work; the D-10's 10th house lord and its placement indicate the industry; the dominant planet in the D-10 indicates the level of seniority chart can support.
