Kumbh Vivah
Kumbh Vivah — Manglik resolution puja
The classical pre-marriage ritual where a Manglik person symbolically marries a clay pot, neutralising the dosha.
Does this feel familiar?
You're Manglik. The marriage is on. Family is divided on Kumbh Vivah — half say it's necessary, half say it's superstition. The classical literature is clear: when intensity warrants, the symbolic marriage to a clay pot (kumbh) does neutralise the dosha. The puja is brief, classical, and inexpensive.
What it is, how it works
Kumbh Vivah is performed before the actual wedding. The Manglik person undergoes a symbolic marriage ceremony to a clay pot (the kumbh), to a Vishnu idol, or in some lineages to a banana tree. The act fulfils the karmic 'first marriage' that Mars requires, allowing the actual marriage to proceed with the dosha pacified. Performed by a qualified pandit, takes 2-3 hours.
