Find a surgery muhurat
When elective surgery is being scheduled, the classical muhurat avoids periods of Mars-Saturn affliction (associated with bleeding and complications) and seeks Jupiter's benefic gaze (associated with healing). The closer the timing aligns with the body's natural rhythms, the smoother recovery tends to be.
Classical considerations
- - Avoid Tuesday (Mars day — inflammation, bleeding) and Saturday (Saturn day — chronic complications).
- - Favored weekdays: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- - Avoid the moon waning to nil (Krishna Paksha late tithis) for surgeries involving fluid loss.
- - Avoid eclipse weeks (3 days before to 3 days after).
- - Prefer days when the moon is in fixed (Sthira) signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius — stable healing.
