How do you decide which crystals to list?

Editor-vetted: every stone must clear at least one of three bars — a documented mineralogical identity, a citation from named classical śāstra, or unbroken traditional Jyotish practice. We do not list stones invented for marketing.

How does Siyara verify classical citations?

Citations are pulled from named śāstra (Garuda Purāṇa Ratna-parīkṣā, Rasa Ratna Samuccaya, Bṛhat Saṃhitā). Where the citation is paraphrased rather than direct, we mark it. We do not invent citations to sell stones.

Why are some crystals marked 'Jyotish consultation required'?

The nine classical Navagraha gems (manik, moti, moonga, panna, pukhraj, heera, neelam, gomed, lehsuniya) can amplify or destabilise depending on your chart. We do not auto-recommend them — a qualified Jyotishi must read your chart first.

Can I trust the gemstone origins?

When the shop opens, every navaratna stone will carry GIA, IGI, or SGL certification with origin documentation. Substitutes will have wholesaler-attested traceability. We will not list a stone we can't trace.

Can I substitute one stone for another?

Yes — for budget or sensitivity reasons. Each Navagraha card lists the primary classical gem and an accessible substitute (e.g. red-jasper for moonga). Substitutes carry the same planetary resonance at a fraction of the price.

What if I have a bad experience with a recommendation?

Stop wearing the stone immediately. Contraindications exist (especially for navaratna stones). The right stone feels neutral or supportive, never agitating. If something feels off, trust the body — not the marketing.

The editorial promise

We will not list a stone we cannot trace, cite, or defend.
